A couple of my friends have recently started doing something called "Wreck my Journal", I had seen it in the shops but hadnt really thought seriously about buying one because, well... I am not ALL that creative.
In fact, whilst I like doing creative things they usually turn out looking like something that a 5 year old will do. However, given that the whole point to "Wreck my Journal" is to wreck it there is really no worry at all that it looks like a 5 year old has done it.
I have yet to do a lot to my journal. I have had it a week and I am doing it in between job hunting, housework, laundry, emails, two other blogs, letter writing, reading and having a social life. Some things take priority over others. In fact the "wrecking" of the journal is the downtime after some application forms have been completed for jobs as its the only thing I seem capable of doing!
So the journal, on each page there is a prompt which tells you what to do. You have to follow each instruction, though it is open to your own interpretation of how that should be carried out.
Some of the instructions will scare you, the one that really scares me is the one of taking it in the shower. Bear in mind that this journal will have all your creativeness in it and that a shower visit could well ruin it.
I will be posting photos of what I have done along the way. Once I have taken photos that is!
